Mitchel House Restaurant is one of Tipperary’s Best Restaurant’s offering a Casual, Warm & Lively Dining Experience serving modern Irish Cuisine in a relaxed environment. The Ethos of our Restaurant works on “Quality food sourced locally”. Our Head Chef Shane Boyle focuses on seasonal produce to create each signature dish.
Mitchel House is on the dining scene in Tipperary since 27th November 2007, located in Mitchel street in Thurles, Mitchel House serves modern Irish Cuisine in a modern relaxed environment. With seating capacity for 86 customers at a time, we cater for small parties, more intimate evening meals, and Sunday lunches with ease.
The restaurant has an Early Bird Menu which runs from Wednesday – Sunday between 5:00pm and 7:00pm; while an a la carte menu runs until 9pm. There is a also a kiddies menu to cater for the entire family. The restaurant remains closed on Monday’s & Tuesday’s and on Sunday’s there are lunches from 12:30 – 2:30pm with evening meals from 5-8:00pm.
Owner Michael O’Dwyer qualified as a Hotel Manager from the illustrious Shannon College of Hotel Management and went on to work in London, Frankfurt and closer to home in Dromoland and Ashford Castles. He was also General Manager of the Clonmel Park Hotel as well as the Clarion Hotel in Limerick.
Michael has enlisted Chef Shane Boyle to head up his kitchen brigade and to produce modern Irish food at competitive prices where all dishes are produced from scratch in our kitchen. Mitchel House Restaurant is modern, warm and welcoming.
